Benefits of vitamin E
The vitamin E is a powerful antioxidant which is responsible to neutralize free radicals present in the agency, responsible for the cell damage and, therefore, of tissues. The benefits of vitamin E also are associated with the health of the circulatory system; it also helps the good healing the wounds. Some studies have shown that vitamin E reduces the symptoms of premenstrual syndrome and reduces the risk of some types of breast cancer.
Other studies have shown that the consumption of large doses of vitamin E can reduce the risk of coronary heart disease. In addition, animal studies suggest that the vitamin E has the capacity to slow the development of the atherosclerosis; however, the American Association of Cardiology does not recommend the use of vitamin supplements until the effects are tested in population samples broader, through controlled clinical trials.
Nutritionists categorized the vitamins taking into account the substance which can dissolve: water soluble vitamins and fat soluble vitamins. The vitamin E is part of the second group, next to the vitamins A, D, and K, which are stored in fatty tissues of the agency in periods ranging from days to months. When consumed an excessive amount of fat soluble vitamins you can negatively affect the operation of the liver, triggering health problems, why is desirable to avoid the abuse of the vitamin supplements.
