A Small Protein “Glutathione”

Research on which are the antioxidants more powerful than there are, hoping to find there to Vitamin A, E, C and of course the Selenium, I met with a small protein called glutathione which is produced by the body and is now in the cells, more specifically in the cytoplasm and its main function is the disposal of waste of the cell.
The glutathione is a small protein, consisting of three amino acids: cysteine, glutamic acid and glycine. Occurs naturally in animal cells and what we can get from daily diets in foods such as fresh fruits and vegetables or frozen, fish, meat, asparagus, curri, avocado and nuts.
Take appropriate concentrations of glutathione in the agency will help us to maintain, mainly, an optimal balance in the elimination of free radicals (antioxidants), as well as assistant to the detoxification of the liver cells due to search protein has an excellent ability to react with toxic substances (acetaminophen, copper, cadmium and paracetamol) and to encourage their elimination.
The glutathione is a key ingredient to maximize the antioxidant activity of the vitamin C, vitamin E, acetilLcisteina, acid alipoico and traces of selenium. The glutathione next to the selenium have the role of regenerate the vitamin C spent. Also, the glutathione, selenium and vitamin C boards regenerate the vitamin E. This synergy maintains the defenses antioxidants in the cell intact all the time. The presence of adequate levels of glutathione next to the other antioxidants in our report is critical to have a system of defense effective against the free radicals.
In addition to the benefits described above, antioxidant power and detoxifier, the glutathione provides help for the following processes:
• A maintenance in the immune system and particularly is key to the activation of the cells and platelets.
• Reduces the proliferation of cells with a tendency to the malignancy, playing a key role in the collaboration for the defense of different diseases caused by the presence of free radicals, including cancer, swelling, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s disease, cystic fibrosis, HIV, AIDS, heart attacks and diabetes.
• Contributes, together with the “complex antioxidant” to induce the resistance to the oxidative damage reversing the ability of metastases and increasing the response of the cells to chemotherapy.
• By its antioxidant action helps to reduce cases of blindness caused by cataracts, developed by the oxidative stress caused by a high concentration of oxygen of lens cells due to the low consumption of antioxidants in the diet.
It is now known that the glutathione may slow the aging, as well as raising the immune system. The glutathione is not only a powerful antioxidant, is also essential to prepare for the synthesis of DNA for the multiplication cellular. If the DNA is damaged, there are enzymes that need to be activated for repair, and this is one of the many functions glutathione.
