Treatment for the major depression
A new research provides support for the use of St. John’s Word (Hipérico) in excerpts for the treatment of the major depression.
A systematic review Cochrane backup of the previous investigation showed that the plant extract is effective in the treatment of mild to moderate depressive disorders.
“In general, we find that the extract of Hipérico tested in the tests were higher than the placebo and as effective as the antidepressants standard, but with fewer side effects”.
The extracts of the plant “Hypericum perforatum”, commonly known as Wort, have long been used in the popular medicine to treat depression and sleep disorders.
The plant produces a series of substances that have properties anti-depressant, but the extract is considered to be more effective.
The overall picture is complicated in terms of the diversity of tests, however, by the fact that the results were more favorable in the tests performed in German speaking, where the extracts of Johanniskrautöl have a long tradition and are often prescribed by doctors.
Despite the favorable results of Hipérico, researchers are anxious not to make generalizations about the use of the plant as an anti-depressant and recommend consulting a doctor in the first instance, especially in the extracts sometimes can affect the actions of other drugs beneficial. Too much sleep, too much risks.
If you are a woman and slept nine hours or more to the night, could have a greater risk of suffering a stroke (LCA), according to a new study.
A preliminary study has examined the relationship between the sleep duration and risk of accident cerebro-vascular, the authors of the new study found an increased risk in people who slept more than eight hours, but not in people who slept less than six.
The new study focused on 93,175 women from 50 to 79 years, who participated in the Woman’s Health Initiative, in which the 8.3 per cent of the women said they slept five hours or less in a night, while the 4.6 percent said they slept at least nine hours per night.

The instinctive reaction that normally takes a deep depression is to enter the bed and hide. The bed provides comfort, protection and, above all, heat.
